Two Drink Maximum

So you’re going on a date with a guy. How many drinks should you order on said date?

a) None. You wan’t to look like wife material from the get go.

b) Only two. You want to be able to get a little tipsy, but don’t want to lose your cool (also know as self control.)

c) Why plan a number? If the date is going well, you’ll get more drinks and go with the flow. A ‘when in rome’ type mentality.

d) Drinks? You mean bottles? You like to indulge in a bottle or two of wine. You’re likely being treated so you may as well take what you can get.

Now the above was no trick question, but according to Patti Stanger of Millionaire Matchmaker, women are meant to have only two drinks on a date, tops.

The idea is that once you have more than two you’re no longer in control. If you want to ensure a following date, exceeding more than two drinks could be a deal breaker. Though, I have a friend who sticks to this rule unless she’s certain that she doesn’t want to see the guy again. If the date lacks chemistry she’ll drink open bar style. Her mentality is, she already is out she may as well make it worth her while somehow.

Next time you’re on a date for drinks, picture me in your head holding up two fingers in a peace sign. If you want the night to be peaceful and if you want to save yourself from the ‘I-can’t-believe-I-actually-did-that’ thoughts (if you can even remember them you little lush you), then do yourself a favour and cut yourself off.

Awesome Article Jenny Jen! 2 is great unless the person cannot hold alcohol, than 1 is enough. Even in today's age some people don't even need drinks to have a good time, and I don't think people should look down on that!
